Seminar Testimonials

Dr. Gregg, that was by far one of the most entertaining seminars I have ever been to.  That's saying a lot coming from a musician/host/performer who's been on stage 100's of times.  I went from the "would be a bored seminar attendee" listening to a dry presentation on "WOW! Can you stay another day?!"  You brought it strong and made it fun.  Thank you so much for helping my chart notes and reports rock!"
Staten "C" Medsker, Jr., D.C., Bellevue, WA

"A phrase that kept running through my mind as you introduced us to a new way of doing things was, "If you keep doing what you're doing, you're going to keep getting what you've got".  Except I think we need to change that to "If you keep doing what you're doing, it's going to get worse".  I know most DC's are not documenting correctly and don't know how to do it. They don't know what they don't know.  And it is going to hurt us.  After this weekend I am confident that I will go into the office tomorrow morning and immediately start implementing new procedures.  The beauty of it is that from what I have learned from you, I will be documenting, history taking, examining, assessing and validating much better but it will be easier and less time consuming than doing it the way I have been.  I can't wait to start sharing this with other doctors and hope we can get you back in September and at the 2015 MCA Convention.

I loved the movie and music clips, the interactive class and your personal stories. Your energy is contagious, your strong ethics are very apparent, your knowledge is exceeded by none and your PASSION for chiropractic is clear."
Lisa Hellerud, D.C., Woodbury, MN

"Thanks for putting on an entertaining seminar on such a dry topic like documentation.  I felt our office was pretty complaint, but still found help in your information.  The information we can use in all aspects of care. Medicare, Personal Injury and general insurance were all covered.  It was nice to be able to make changes starting Monday morning. Thanks Again!!"

Al Stachowski, DC Minneapolis, MN

"I appreciate your perspective as a second-generation chiropractor and your strong and clear purpose to help us as a profession and as individual chiropractors.  Your help and clarity is much needed and welcome in our current circumstance of changing and escalating regulations and penalties.  I especially value your clarity as to what is most important to prioritize.  I'm grateful you have achieved an impressive amount of knowledge and that you make it understandable.  The laughs were good too. "
Kaye Otter, D.C., Bloomington, MN

"Thank you so much for the amazing seminar this weekend.  I was absolutely riveted!  I was so impressed and now feel a lot more confident in the changes I need to make and how to properly do things.  My head is spinning!"
Bethany Schatz, DC, Hastings, MN

"Spending my weekend listening to a seminar on documentation and ICD-10 codes seemed a bit diabolical. Hurrah to Dr. Friedman! Because he made it not only very informative but entertaining at the same time. I encourage everyone to attend his seminar."
Michael Dahlquist, DC, Alexandria, MN

"You were right! You were able to make very dry material interesting.  I had my first full night sleep without grinding my teeth. I have been so stressed about this transition and I could not find the answers I was looking for.  You were a huge help! Your forms and ICD10. Codes helped to drive each home the seminar. I now know what I know and I know what I do not so that I can ask questions. Thank you for your commitment to chiropractors."
Sofia Haffenreffer, D.C., North Hampton, NH

"Thank you so much for the valuable seminar.  I was nervous about attending a documentation seminar but your "Got Documentation"  presentation was not only very informative but surprisingly painless and entertaining.  Your seminar provided a simple, easy to follow protocol which I have already begun to implement into my practice.
Thank you so much.  I now feel confident about my notes and able to have more fun again in my clinic, knowing that I Got This!!"
Kurt Brausen, D.C., St. Paul, MN

"Thank you for being an advocate for Chiropractic.  Your ethical standards are certainly what our entire profession should strive to achieve.

I took this course of instruction 7 years ago.  I did put into practice much of what you taught then, and at least improved my record keeping from previous years, however, as you enlightened us at the seminar, there is a new age in health care such as Electronic Health Record, ICD-10 Coding, and Electronic Billing.

You presented an extremely large amount of information in a humorous, informative, and 'user-friendly' way.  The time in your class went by very quickly, although you spent the time to answer questions and was available during breaks and after class to give individual attention to any doctor who wished to 'pick your brain.'

Thank you, again, for not only providing us with the essential CE credits, but truly loving Chiropractic enough to give us what we need to become better Doctors of Chiropractic."

Greg Hackler, D.C., Winslow, AZ

"Dr. Friedman, thank you for your Got Documentation seminar.  It amazed me that you could put together something so well thought out.  It should be required for all new graduates as well as us old timers.  With your quick wit and complete understanding of current standards for record keeping, the seminar was entertaining, fast-paced and on target.  Highly recommended."
Kevin Jones, D.C., Porterville, CA

"I wanted to let you know that your seminar is unmatched in the arena of documentation.  You left no stone unturned, and went far beyond my expectations.  You not only covered proper and complete documentation, but did so in a fun, energetic and entertaining way.  Thank you so much."
Dean Early, D.C., Modesto, CA

"I just wanted to let you know that I thought your brillian presentation in Fresno was far more helpful to my practice than I ever thought it could be.  This incredible training was surprisingly insightful because it enlightened/enhanced my understanding as to what is really going on in today's insurance world.  I discovered new information that helped clarify just what the insurance companies are really doing and why in many instances, I was not getting payment in full (or at all in some cases.)  You made my day and this seminar weekend very worthwhile!  Please accept my thank you and profound gratitude for a sparkling, dynamic, and superb educational experience."
Richard Ashden, DC, Porterville, CA

"Fantastic seminar, light at the end of the tunnel, hope for all.  Thank you, Dr. Gregg, for your commitment to help the field doctor fit into the window created by those in power."
Gordon Townsend, D.C., Redmond, WA

"The seminar was awesome!  I laughed a lot.  I have to admit, I did think it was going to be very boring.  You made it much more fun than I expected.  Thanks again!

Joe Markette, D.C., Tucson, AZ

"Wow, who knew that a documentation seminar could be fun, informative, entertaining and immediately applicable?  Doctors, if you think your documentation is strong, think again.  Take the 'Got Documentation' course and re-assess your notes.  Dr. Friedman, thank you for advancing the chiropractic profession one document at a time."
Gary Davis, D.C., Falls Church, VA

"I am impressed with how you mix such great information and humor.  We are blessed to have you in our profession and state."
Richard Casabona, D.C., Tucson, AZ

"Wow!  Dr. Friedman brought a dead and boring topic to LIFE.  Finally, a simple universal method of documentation for cash, P.I., Medicare and general insurance.  Thank you, Dr. Friedman."
H. Carol Sanders-Shochat, D.C. and Wayne Shochat, D.C., Tucson, AZ

"I am writing to think you for a fabulous seminar on what I expected to be a very dull subject.  Not only was it interesting, it was very informative."
Cheryl Morris, D.C., Nyack, NY

"I wish every seminar was as entertaining and individualized as was yours.  I am motivated to do in my office that which I do with my 17 year old son when I am behind the wheel of a car...demonstrate my best habits and skills.  It has become so routine that even when alone, I signal my intention when exiting my driveway!  I anticipate your influence on me will elevate my standard of care significantly.  Awesome job!"
Bob Rupnick, D.C., Commack, NY

"You have made an extremely unpopular, although critical, area of practicing much more bearable.  In my 31 years in practice, I developed some really bad habits.  In my opinion, you are saving us...from us.  You have taken the time to study the guidelines and have spelled it out for us.  My fellow chiropractors, if you are serious about being compliant and providing great documentation for your services, Dr. Gregg shows us what to do and how to do it, and he does it in such an entertaining and engaging way!"
Donna Heitzman, D.C., Syracuse, NY

"I have been in practice for 50 years and have been to many seminars.  This documentation course was one of the best I have ever attended.  It took a subject that has been difficult to comprehend and in you humorous style, the fear has been taken out of documentation.  Thanks for making my day."

Dan Burgdorf, D.C., Rome, NY

"Well done, sir!  Your seminar was informative, entertaining, and thought provoking.  I thought I had been documenting correctly or at least 90% properly.  I am a stickler for details, but realized after your seminar that I'm really only 75%.  That 25% difference can create a lot of aggravation when it comes to reimbursement.  Understanding the 'opposition' is integral.  It is a just system that works for or against you dependent on your knowing the rules.  You made it that much easier to practice with less stress.  Thank you!"
David Burgdorf, D.C., Weymouth, MA

"Marcia and I want to thank you for a wonderful weekend.  You truly gave it all to your seminar!  We learned so much, and maybe, just maybe, we can finally make it all make sense out of Medicare documentation, and this was, by far, very entertaining.  God bless you, Gregg.  Hope to see you again."
Paul Vanier, D.C., Carthage, NY

"I recently attended Dr. Gregg's Got Documentation Seminar.  His information is priceless!  His energy is upbeat, his program is fun and his advice is necessary for today's doctor of chiropractic.  If we want to keep this profession alive and respected...we need to prove that we have the correct outcome assessments.  Do this!!"

Krista Carpenter, D.C., Grand Rapids, MI
"Thank you so much for coming to MN (sorry it was so cold!) and thank you so much for what you do.  I received a fax which had a clever, little heading and testimonials which raved about their experience, but I admit I was skeptical.  I figured they were either close, personal friends or were exaggerating. Boy, was I wrong!  Your seminar was by far the best seminar I have been to in a long time.  It was totally worth missing the March Madness games for!  You made what can be an extremely dry, boring subject into a fun, spellbinding weekend.  I left feeling enlightened, energized and empowered.
I have to tell you that I was not very excited to go to a documentation seminar.  In fact my wife signed me up.  She signed me up because, well I hate doing “paper work”.  It takes up way too much time and is not the reason that I got into Chiropractic.  I have to admit that I was contemplating going to a 100% cash practice before coming to the seminar since we are at 80% already.  However, I realized that the majority of my current patients who are paying out of pocket for wellness care were initially Insurance patients.  So, I had to make a decision.  To my surprise, while I know that I have much work to become “bullet proof”.  It is clear to me that it is doable.  I love the idea of having a process that I can follow and that my daily note procedure will actually take less time than my current process.  You made it very clear that “they” are looking for excuses to deny visits and that unless we give them what they want, we won’t get paid for what we love to do."
Carmelo Caratozzolo, D.C.. Woodbridge, VA

"I attended the Richmond seminar last weekend for what I anticipated would be one of those "tolerate it and get your hours" experiences, especially since the topic was documentation.
I must tell you that I was pleasantly surprised, entertained and educated. The material presented was not only vital for our continued survival but I finally left a documentation seminar feeling like I had a handle on how to proceed instead of feeling overwhelmed and scared. I still have a lot of work to do but I have already started to tweak the way I have been doing things to be more in line with what is necessary to protect myself.
Thanks for making a weekend spent in a class worthwhile."
Elliot Eisenberg, DC, Richmond, VA

"Need documentation? Get Friedman. He's the man to present all the information you'll need, in a concise manner with enough humor to keep you engaged and enjoying the presentation."
Gregg Boaz, D.C., Virginia Beach, VA

"Thanks for a great seminar!!  Clear, concise and funny!!!!!  How does that work when it comes to documentation?  I don't know but, it does when you are the presenter!!!"
Geff Anderson, D.C., Boise, ID

"Your documentation course was very informative and extremely enjoyable despite the subject matter.  I have struggled with putting together the SOAP notes with POMR and PART for a while. You masterfully accomplished this. With what you showed us, I can expand this out to FP notes. I now have a notion about where to put PQRS info on. I didn’t understand previously that records don’t have to be typed as long as they are legible. The additional element of the audiovisual adjuncts was excellent and it is clear that you have done your homework well. I definitely will recommend your program at the next 3 seminars that I am teaching at here in Idaho."
Laurence V. Hicks, D.O., Twin Falls, ID

"Thanks for a great seminar. It was much better than I anticipated. You took a concept that so few in our profession understand, including our colleges, and you broke it down into easy to understand concepts; but even more important you have made it quick and easy to implement in a real life setting."
Mike Callis, D.C., Meridian, ID

"Dr. Friedman has figured it out. A customizable EMR, Evaluation, Treatment protocol, Outcome Based, Medicare and AMA Guidelines compliant system, that promotes better patient care, better documentation, better re-imbursement, less insurance denials, more attorney referrals, less malpractice and state board exposure, and finally the emotional and professional comfort, confidence and ability to explain that chiropractic is indeed scientific and as we all know, works."
George Siegfried, D.C., McMinnville, OR

"Thank you for a wonderful seminar.  Documentation has always been my weakest link in my practice.  I have attended many seminars dealing with with documentation but often walked away confused and lacking in direction.  However, your seminar was different.  It was focused, intense, clear and direct.  I walked away with clear understanding of what I need to do to document medical necessity.  By far your seminar was the best on the topic of documentation and I strongly recommend to every doctor looking for help in documentation.  Thank you for your great work in helping our profession."
John Kim, D.C., L.Ac., Beaverton, OR

"I wanted to thank you for making the absolute most out of a documentation seminar that I think you possibly could. I have gone to many seminars and have learned alot. I even thought they were extremely well done and informative. But then I would go back to practice and try to implement what they had taught just a few days prior... and I felt lost. You not only explained this very well, but made it practical and easier to implement into practice."
Tamara Barnhart, DC, Athol, ID

"The "Got Documentation" seminar that Dr. Friedman conducts is a must have for all Chiropractors.  If you think you are doing a great job with record keeping, you will learn more.  And, if you are unsure of quality of your records then you must go and learn how to do things the right way and less time than your current system.  Do it for YOU, your PATIENTS, and for our PROFESSION!  Truly the most I have learned in any seminar since graduating 19 years ago.  INCREDIBLE!"
Jeff H. Peterson, D.C., Tucson, AZ

"I would like to send a big shout out to Dr. Gregg Friedman for that great documentation seminar.  It was powerful and very informative.  I am really looking forward to the next one.  Hope that it's very soon. JOB WELL DONE!"
Jan Porter, D.C., South Carolina

"I wanted to drop you a quick note about the whole Optum Health audit.  Well, after a couple of months of appeals and me stating numerous times that I took your seminar and used the PART method of notes and wanted to know why my notes were not up to par with theirs, they saw it my way and although they recouped the money, they are now going to reimburse me for it.  There was one doc, a chiropractor by the name of xxxxxx in xxxxxx, who was the reviewer and the only reviewer for my office.  Needless to say he never did call me back or do a peer to peer review with me, but that's OK, as long as I get the money back.  Just wanted you to know so that you can share that at your seminars.  Two audits in the past few years and not one penny paid back.  I would say your seminars more than paid for themselves.  Thank you."
Joel LaCombe, D.C., Ohio

"Thank you for a great seminar.  Documentation is one of my least favorite things to do in practice.  However, in the current medical/legal climate, it is the biggest monkey on my back.  Your simple explanations helped put me back in charge of the practice, as opposed to hiding from the paperwork."
Dan Miller, D.C.

"I drove 6 hours each way to go to a documentation seminar this weekend, so I had been dreading this for a couple of weeks.  I was so wrong - what a powerful, dynamic seminar.  This seminar has forever changed the way I will practice.  I was so jacked up on my drive home, I called my staff, my wife - everyone - telling them how I was going to be able to practice with substantially more confidence.  Dr. Gregg made the subject matter fun - he even referenced the Fonz, so I was entertained from start to finish.  Thank you, Doc.  I have been looking for what you are offering since I graduated school 17 years ago.  I know I can't change to what my vision is over night, but I now have a map and a guide!"

Jason Schroeder, D.C.

"Thanks for a GREAT documentation seminar!  You really did get me excited about the subject and the potential for advancing our profession to the forefront."
  Steve Hamburg, D.C.

"My expectation is that the proper documentation you teach will have patients buying rather than me selling.  That alone makes this the most valuable seminar I have attended since I received my license 10 years ago."  Nestor Mejias, D.C.

"I recently attended your Got Documentation seminar, and may I say how ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS it was!!  I have been to other documentation seminars before and left still having questions with what, how, when to document.  There is no doubt now.  Your seminar was  direct, comprehensive, thorough, interesting, entertaining (surprisingly)!"  Lynn M. Koch, D.C.

"Your seminar was incredibly insightful, engaging and amazingly informative.  Thanks again...David Harrigan, DC

"I wanted to write to let you know that I found your Got Documentation course exceptionally valuable. I can speak for plenty of other Doctors out there in regards to not having a full grasp on what is necessary in proper documentation. It is not our fault necessarily but it is ultimately our responsibility. This course cleared up plenty of questions and actually made the whole process easier and less stressful for me. Although this is course was not going to have new patients banging your door down, it is a must for every Chiropractor to allow them to do their job correctly and more efficiently. Thanks for having passion for this subject matter. It truly shows. I hope you keep me posted on any advanced courses you teach." Dr. Hargreaves, Charlotte NC

"Your seminar was eye opening. I discovered gaping holes in my documentation. During the weekend I realized documentation increases our professionalism, and most of us have no idea how to do it properly. This translates to poor communication; both with insurance companies and other professional disciplines. I now know WHAT to write down and WHY. I feel protected as a doctor. The tools you provided enable us to deliver the care patients need, while feeling bullet proof to an audit. Students should attend this 2 day event before ever starting in practice. This method of documentation will help you communicate with patients and adjusters. You will be able to accurately demonstrate the value you are delivering to patients, and get paid. Do not pass this event up!" Dr. Shaun Stuto

"Having been to over twenty-five relicensing seminars I must say I certainly wasn't looking forward to a documentation seminar.  Surely,  given the topic,  this was going to be the biggest snoozer of all seminars.  My documentation, however is horrendous and I am being asked for documentation with increasing frequency, so with two cups of coffee and a latte I was ready. What I wasn't ready for was how interesting and utterly hilarious you made the topic. This was not only the most organized and intelligently crafted seminar I had ever been to, it was the most entertaining. You should be doing stand-up at the Improv on the weekends.  I doubt any of the attendees didn't wake up the next morning without pain in the abdomen from laughing so hard.  The information given was equally impressive as the presentation. I now understand how easy it is to avoid requests for office notes as well as denials based on medical necessity. I also learned how to reduce the odds that attorneys will ask to cut my PI bills.
This seminar is good for the doctor, the patient and the profession. In my opinion every doctor should attend "Got Documentation" it will save us all money, hassle, and stress as well as raise the status of chiropractic within the health profession field."
Jeff Hansen D.C.

"I waited until the new wore off of your Tulsa documentation seminar before sending you this e-mail. I've been in practice 20 years and come to realize I'm better served if I let my emotions have a few days rest from a weekend seminar before forming opinions or making any changes in my practice. I've had a week to settle back into my practice plus take some time to look at what you showed us about implementing proper documentation into a real world practice and compare that with 4 other documentation experts that I've been learning things from over the last year. First, let me say that I loved your presentation. Second, let me say that in my humble opinion your number one! You were so well organized and you made the day pass quickly because you're entertaining too. I really appreciated that you presented facts about documentation requirements without trying to scare us to death. Then you gave us common sense real world solutions that could be easily implemented into a busy practice. As a bonus, I found the webinars on your website to be extremely informative also. Thank you!"
